Online archive The Journal of Gambling Studies is a quarterly peer-reviewed medical journal covering all aspects of gambling. It was established in 1985 as the Journal of Gambling Behavior, obtaining its current name in 1990. It is published by Springer Science+Business Media and the editor-in-chief is Jon Grant (University of Chicago).

1. Asian Journal of Gambling Issues and Public Health ceased to be published by SpringerOpen as of 5th January 2018. SpringerOpen will continue to host an archive of all articles previously published in the journal and all articles published in Asian Journal of Gambling Issues and Public Health during its time with SpringerOpen will remain fully searchable via the SpringerOpen website.
2. International Gambling Studies is a peer-reviewed interdisciplinary journal in gambling studies. Launched by a team of international experts with a commitment to the highest scholarly standards, International Gambling Studies adopts a transnational and comparative approach to the challenges posed by the global expansion of gambling in the 21st century.

The Journal of Gambling Studies is an interdisciplinary forum for research and discussion of the many and varied aspects of gambling behavior, both controlled and pathological. Coverage extends to the wide range of attendant and resultant problems, including alcoholism, suicide, crime, and a number of other mental health concerns. Articles published in this journal span a cross-section of disciplines including psychiatry, psychology, sociology, political science, criminology, and social work.
